TRANSATLANTSKI IZAZOV BAJDENOVE ADMINISTRACIJE
Sažetak
Izborna pobeda Džozefa Bajdena u novembru 2020. Godine naširoko je očivana kao američki povratak na globalnu scenu. U brojnim akademskim i političkim krugovima očekivalo se da uklanjanje „izolacioniste“ Donalda Trampa i važna pobeda liberalnog internationaliste Bajdena donese novo poglavlje u odnosima sa saveznicima širom sveta, ostavljajući za sobom neprijatnosti izazvane bezobrzirnim političkim stilom prethodne administracije. Međutim, kada su globalni poslovi počeli da se odvijaju svojim tokom u 2021. godini, ključni međunarodni slogan Bajdenove administracije „Amerika se vratila“, takođe se pokazao kao pre svega stvar političkog stila, pre nego dobro promišljene suštine. Ovaj članak teži da istraži načine na koje je strateško držanje Bajdenove administracije u prvoj godini mandata oblikovalo transatlantske odnose. U tom cilju, analizirani su najvažniji spoljnopolitički govori i dokumenti i identifikovani glavni međunarodni događaji. Ključni nalaz je da, uprkos permisivnom kontekstu koji je oblikovalo omalovažavanje evropskih saveznika od strane Trampove administracije, nova administracija nije uspela da napravi pomak u pogledu jačanja transatlantskih veza. Ta činjenica nagoveštava da su problemi sve vreme bili pretežno strukturne prirode i da su prethodili Trampovim politikama, što znači da će ih biti utoliko teže prevazići.
