MEDIJSKE REPREZENTACIJE RATA PROTIV TERORIZMA U BRITANSKOJ SERIJI „SPOOKS“

Sažetak

U tekstu se bavimo analizom reprezentacije rata pro­tiv terorizma u britanskoj seriji Spooks. Na samom početku naglašavamo da je nastala u kontekstu fenome­na kompleksne televizije, koji podrazumeva kombinovanje nekoliko tematskih narativnih tokova. Budući da je proizvedena ubrzo nakon što su Sjedinjene Američke Države i Velika Britanija proklamovale „rat protiv terorizma“, ovaj fenomen je u središtu narativa serije. U analizi upotrebljavamo teoriju medija i kulturalne studije da bismo pokazale kako serija Spooks koristi savremene diskurse koji kolaju u medijskoj sferi, kojoj i sama pripada, a povezani su sa ratom protiv terorizma, funkcionisanjem špijunskih službi i njihovih agenata. Mada je narativ serije strukturiran oko paradigme „sukoba civilizacija“, u kojoj se Zapadna alijansa suprotstavlja terorizmu svih ostalih nezapadnih društava, pre svega onom koji dolazi iz muslimanskog sveta, suptilnija analiza otkriva da serija ukazuje i na druge mogućnosti uglavnom marginalnim narativnim linijama.
