IZAZOVI SPECIJALNIM VEZAMA SAD I UJEDINJENOG KRALJEVSTVA KROZ PRIZMU AKCIJA PREDSEDNIKA DžOA BAJDENA I PREMIJERA BORISA DžONSONA

Sažetak

Sjedinjene Američke Države i Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo imaju specijalne političke, ekonomske, vojne i kulturne odnose. Nova američka administracija vraća multilateralizam i stare saveze među svoje glavne prioritete, dok su sa druge strane britanske vlasti najavile ekspanziju svog međunarodnog angažmana. Efekti pandemije kovid-19, borba protiv klimatskih promena, rast uticaja Kina i pretnje sajber bezbednosti su najveći međunarodni izazovi prema viđenju obe države. SAD i UK takođe apeluju i na druge države da zajednički preuzmu odgovornost i traže rešenja za najvažnije globalne probleme. Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo je napustilo Evropsku Uniju u januaru 2020. godine i, u skladu sa retorikom vlade, povratilo suverenitet nad svojom spoljnom politikom. Odnosi dve zemlje bi mogli da se prodube, ali pojavile su se nove nevolje, kao na primer potreba da se pregovara o novom trgovinskom ugovoru. Međutim, razlike između Džoa Bajdena i Borisa Džonsona su manje važne u smislu zajedničkog interesa, kao što je vidljivo iz potpisivanja nove Atlantske povelje u junu 2021. godine, a takođe i u zajedničkom povećanju angažmana u Indo-Pacifičkom regionu.
