QUALITY OF PROTECTION OF FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN THE TUZLA CANTON

This article on the topic "Quality of protection of families with children in the Tuzla Canton" is aimed to examine the quality of family policy and protection of families with children in Tuzla Canton. The research question of this paper was to examine: Do measures of family policy and protection of families with children in the Tuzla Canton influence the improvement of the quality of life of families with children and are they in function of meeting their needs? Quantitative and qualitative methods were used to collect and process the data. In the empirical part of the research, a test-semi-structured interview method was used in which the main topics were identified in accordance with the research thesis. The obtained data were processed through a qualitative analysis of interview content. The survey included a total of 22 respondents, including 4 respondents from creators of family policy, 8 from implementers from social work centers and 10 from users of family policy rights and services. The results of the research showed that the current measures in the area of protection of families with children in the Tuzla Canton do not meet the needs of families with children because of the small number of rights implemented, the inadequacy of rights and services and financial constraints. Families with children cannot be provided with a social minimum sufficient for basic needs. Family policy measures adopted by social protection makers are inadequate and ultimately do not provide an effective and high-quality family protection system that will serve the needs of beneficiaries and the quality of their rights. Also, there are not important priorities which lead creators of social protection when planning measures to families with children. Because of the great importance of the family for society as a whole it is necessary to continue with the reforms in the area of family policy in order to improve the quality of life the families with children.
